The product/model number has more to it than OMEN by HP Desktop PC 880-p0xx . The last two positions are for numbers, and there are many different specs depending on the last two digits. Please indicate the complete model number for accurate help on the question. Some models might not have a m.2 ssd option.

Yes, you are correct it does have a slot for m.2 ssd . One M.2 socket 3, key M
You will not need to buy a Windows 10 in order to install Windows on the SSD. If you are lucky, the manufacturer will provide the needed software to transfer the existing Windows 10 OS, to the SSD. Do you have a SSD product in mind?
