Solved!

Upgradeable RAM Specifications

HP Recommended
Pavilion 27-d0255xt
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I haven't been able to find the answer on the HP site and the RAM manufacturers do not recognize the model.  What is the maximum RAM specifications for the HP Pavilion 27-do255xt?  Its a configurable, and the top option is 16GB DDR4-3200.  Can this system handle 32GB, or is 16GB the maximum?

Memory
8 GB DDR4-2666 SDRAM (2 X 4 GB)
12 GB DDR4-2666 SDRAM (1 x 4 GB, 1 x 8 GB)
16 GB DDR4-2666 SDRAM (2 x 8 GB)
8 GB DDR4-2933 SDRAM (2 x 4 GB)
12 GB DDR4-2933 SDRAM (1 x 4 GB, 1 x 8 GB)
16 GB DDR4-3200 SDRAM (2 x 8 GB)

if it is indeed this motherboard, that would confirm the 16 max!
  • ual channel memory architecture

  • Supports up to PC4-23400 (DDR4-2933)
  • Supports 4 GB and 8 GB DDR4 SODIMMs
  • Supports up to 4 GB on 32-bit systems
    note:
32-bit systems cannot address a full 4.0 GB of memory.
  • Supports up to 16 GB (unbuffered) with two 8 GB DIMMs on 64-bit systems
    note:
Maximum memory shown reflects the capability of the hardware and can be limited further in the operating system.

I don't currently have the system - it will be delivered next week.  I can check the motherboard specs at that time.  I was hoping to figure out the RAM specifications to determine what I could upgrade the base 8GB that was installed, but otherwise I can wait until I have it and then update this thread.

Based on the processor options (i5-10400T and i7-10700T), it appears to be the Brighton motherboard, but I can confirm once I get the system.
