Hi.
Been looking for a new tower PC, one of my 2 possibles is the Pavilion Desktop TP01-5104na.
Is it possible to update hardware if/when needed ? Or anything you're stuck with? I note this only comes with a 350w PSU and an RTX 4060 Graphics card. These seem rather low budget compared to the rest of the PC. At the moment I don't do any heavy gaming or multi player games, mostly FPS and Single Player but will the stock PSU GPU handle multi player and such like. My home built rig of 2010 uses an 800w PSU.
Any points of niggle to be aware of with this rig, I'd like to know any before getting my plastic out 😊
Thanks in advance.

Greetings @ajw1100
Welcome to the HP Forum.
Your PC at the stock config. can do some decent gaming at 1080p and possibly 1440p (in select games) by scaling back some game settings.
It is possible to upgrade the PSU and the graphics card.
The PSU upgrade would have to be a HP PSU.
Graphics card upgrade options would be limited by your PC's case dimensions.

Hi Guys.
Thank you for your reply Bill_To.
Are you able to confirm that no other (after market) PSU will fit into the TP01-5014na?
Also any one with this PC and does gaming like Half Life series, ROTT, and similar FPS Single player how well does the stock 350w PSU perform?
I would hate to pay £!,600.00 and find it was not up to the job! 90% of my PC use is with data, but occasionally -when I get the chance- I like to take out frustration by playing some games.
If the PSU can be updated any suggestions as to what may work?
Please bear in mind I am an OAP and too savvy in today's high-tech World.

Greetings @ajw1100
My pleasure.
Your PC's: case, MB, and power supply can only work together similar to typical Laptop designs.
Take a look at your PC's MB and power supply. The MB front panel I/O is integrated. The HP power supply has unusual dimensions and does not use the standard 24 pin MB power connector.
Check this Site to see how your PC would do playing various games.
The installed HP 350 watt power supply is fine unless you want to upgrade the graphics card.
Possible HP power supply upgrade options are:
- HP 500 watt PSU, part number L05757-800.
- HP 650 watt PSU, part number L77487-003 (L89233-001).
Both parts are available at eBay.
The above PSU replacement parts work with HP PC s having a 310 watt PSU. Your PC has a 350 watt PSU. So I'm not sure what's going on.
A different Forum member might be able to verify the above PSU replacement parts will work with your PC's MB.

I plan on buying the TP01-5014na P/N A4GEFEA # ABU
This seems better value than the Dell XPS8960 I had first thought of.
I will see how I get on with the standard PSU setup and hope I can still do some gaming.

Greetings @ajw1100
Sounds good.
The HP 350 watt PSU will work with the 4060 and other components installed in the PC.
Check 4060 specs at Tech Powerup. The 4060 has a 115 watt TDP.
The 4060 is good to go using a 300 watt PSU.
