Hey there!

 

Have spoken to Intel but they redirected me back to HP. Wanting to upgrade my i7-4770 to an i7-4790k. Now, i have the correct CPU socket (LGA1150)  and correct chipset (Intel H87). But i need to know if i need a further BIOS update to support the -4790k. I updated to version 80.21 (13/08/2015), wondering if this is sufficient for said chip.

The original WIN  8 BIOS is that last version available.

The "K" denotes an option that HP does not support.   See here.
