Hi!
I bought a second-hand HP Elitedesk G4 800 SFF. It came with its original 250W PSU. I want to add a graphics card, specifically the Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4060 OC Low Profile 8G. I was reading about its power consumption and I have to get a 500W PSU. The problem is that I can't find the part number for a 500W PSU for this exact model (G4 800 SFF). I thought that the 901759-013 would fit, but it turns out it is for the G4 800 TWR version and in its amazon post, it specifically reads "will not fit in SFF". I have read a lot of posts here, specially from a user called NonSequitur in which he installed another PSU on his computers (a Elitedesk G3 and a G4, among others). There is another PSU (part number L77487-003) that I think in one of his posts said it fits in a G5, being the same size of the G4 SFF. I really need to change the PSU, because the power consumption with the GPU will be higher than the 250 I actually have.
Do you know if L77487-003 would fit in the Elitedesk G4 800 SFF model? I don't want to cut through the chassis. If not, do you know any other PSU model that would fit?
Thanks in advance, and sorry for my english (not my first language).

Welcome to our peer-to-peer HP Community Forum!
Fortunately, I just happened to come across your post. Btw, I wished this Forum would allow some sort of messaging system, so that I won't miss any posts more or less specifically meant for me... (@JessikaV ?).
You bought a wonderful desktop: powerful and very upgradeable and parts are relatively easy/easier to come by than many other legacy desktops. Also, one of my favorite upgrade projects, before upgrading it to a G5 SFF.
And yes, there are two power supply upgrades possible for your HP EliteDesk 800 G4 SFF, a 400-watt power supply with p/n: 942332-001, (L04618-800) with one 6+2-pin PCIe power cable, and a 500-watt power supply, with p/n: L77487-003 (L89233-001), the latter being equipped with two 6+2-pin PCIe power cables.
Incidentally, if the RTX 4060 low profile card happens to be this model, even the aforementioned 400-watt power supply will do the job, even if you upgrade your processor too.
And yes, the L77487-003 fits just fine in an HP EliteDesk G4 SFF model as I have one of those installed in my desktop (switched from a G3 to a G4 to a G5 SFF motherboard):
In order for an RTX 4060 low profile card to fit, you'll probably have to modify/remove the drives bay, but it can be done.
Kind Regards,
