@Crosspace,

In my experience, 2 x 8GB dual-rank RAM is sufficient for most software applications, including gaming.

However, if you are into video editing and such, I would recommend switching over to 2 x 16GB dual-rank RAM.

Please remember: 'stick' (pun intended) with identical RAM modules -same brand, model and capacity for best RAM performance.

Your desktop will run DDR4 RAM up to 2933 MHz.  Meaning, use 3200 MHz RAM sticks which will down throttle to 2933 MHz.

Looking here: UserBenchmark: HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop TG01-1xxx Compatible Components, the best performing RAM options are:

Hynix HMA81GU6DJR8N-XN 2x8GB
Samsung M378A1K43DB2-CTD 2x8GB

Crucial BL16G32C16U4W.M16FE1 2x16GB

Crucial CT32G4DFD832A.M16FF 2x32GB

Another upgrade you want to consider is to purchase an i7-10700F, which you can purchase for $170 or less, such as this trusted Seller purchase option: Intel Core i7 Gen 10 I7-10700F 4.70 GHz Comet Lake SRH70 FCLGA1200 CPU Used 654728379926 | eBay.

Hello. Thank you for all the advised. I have RTX 3060 installed and running.

I wanted to get better RAMs but the seller sent me two RAMs card with not-matching number and explanation that they are made in different year.

Hynix  8GB Rx16 PC4 - 3200AA -UCO - 13   HMAA1GU6CJR6N - XN NO AD

Hynix  8GB Rx8 PC4 - 3200AA- UA2 - 11  HMA81GU6CJR8N - XN NO AD

I have no idea if they are same RAMs or if they match to my desktop. RAMs don't look same in visual. I think the seller send some two random RAMs. What do you think? Thank you for the reply.

@Crosspace,

I would download/install this most useful freeware utility program called "CPU-Z" from here: https://download.cpuid.com/cpu-z/cpu-z_2.06-en.exe.

Install the new RAM, and run CPU-Z.  Then check/share the "Memory" tab (using my PC as an example):

And ditto with the "SPD" tab, so I can see what you got:

Please blur/blot out the serial number information.

Kind Regards,
