HP Notebook - 15-ba082nr (Touch) (ENERGY STAR)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

How can I best upgrade my slightly older HP laptop; in terms of better hardware so I can obtain better performance and storage overall. I want to know what specific hardware is compatible to replace/upgrade what's inside the system right now. Taking suggestions before I buy anything, any input is appreciated.

The product name is the HP Notebook - 15-ba082nr (Touch) (ENERGY STAR).

System type is a 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor.

Processor is AMD A8-7410 APU with Radeon R5 Graphics 2.20 GHz.

Installed RAM is 4.00 GB.

Hi:

You can do 3 upgrades...

1.  You can install 2 x 8 GB of DDR3L memory.

This should be a compatible 8 GB memory chip for your notebook.

Crucial 8GB DDR3L-1600 SODIMM | CT102464BF160B | Crucial.com

2. You can replace the 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a better performing 2.5" SATA solid state drive (SSD).

Look into the Western Digital Blue 2.5" or Crucial MX 500 SSD models in a storage capacity that fits your needs and budget.

I would not buy one that exceeds 2 TB.

3. You can replace the single band Realtek wifi card with this dual band model...

Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11 ac 1x1 Wi-Fi + Bluetooth 4.2 Combo Adapter (MU-MIMO supported) HP part # L17365-005.

The card has a maximum throughput of 433 MBPS on the 5.0 GHz Wi-Fi band with an AC router and an excellent signal.

You can find this model on eBay, or Ali Express.

I see some Intel 3165 cards listed on the eBay listings, so don't buy those.

RTL8821CE - Buy RTL8821CE with free shipping on AliExpress

On the Ali Express listings, make sure the card has the HP Part # of 915620-001.

Below is the link to the service manual where you can find the component removal and replacement procedures.
