Hi guys, just registered and I'm really looking forward to my first HP PC which I get next week. I've already made plans to upgrade the RAM on the EliteOne 1000 G2 by a further 16gb taking it to 32gb but I'm curious as to whether or not I'm able to upgrade the hdd from 1tb to 2tb or more? If so what type of hdd is suitable for this particular machine? I'm not in anyway completely familiar with the internal workings of a PC so any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance guys,
Tony

Here is a explanation of the various configurations.
Hopefully you get a model with a single 16GB RAM module, otherwise your upgrade plan will be more expensive. Adding an exact matching 16GB to a 16GB cost efficient. Have to remove 2x8GB and toss them aside to purchase 2x16GB is an expensive lesson. Did you order it 1x 16GB or 2x8GB?
Storage devices are explained by normal standards. It allows a 2.5" SSD (storage) and an M.2 socket 3 NVMe SSD (boot). I see no problem replacing the storage with a 1TB or 2TB 2.5" SSD. IMHO, getting complacent with a 4TB might lead to disaster. (Just so you know, I only use a single 500GB NVMe or SSD device in my builds).

Hi Wb, thank you so much for your reply. A lot of good information for me to look at. The machine I ordered comes with two slots for RAM with 16gb installed straight from the factory. It's the EliteOne 1000 which is supposed to be upgradable and on the basis of this I have purchased and additional 16GBB of RAM from HP which is sold as an accessory for b this particular model so by all accounts will should go into the second slot for the RAM with no problem.
I trust this will be OK?
Thanks again,
