HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop TG01-2260xt CTO

Hello, I was planning on upgrading my motherboard to be able to fit a i7 12/13th gen. I was wondering if I need a certain motherboard that only fit the HP pavilion gaming desktop that I have. Or if most of them are compatible with the case. The type of motherboard I was looking at were the MSI ones, but open to any brand just seeing what fits this case.

was looking at motherboards like thiswas looking at motherboards like this

@Coryk619,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

Your HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop TG01-2260xt (1K4J3AV) as fitted with the Stark motherboard (SSID: 8860) has a completely different layout than an MSI PRO B760M-A gaming motherboard:

Meaning, it will never fit in your Pavilion case.  Or any other non-HP gaming motherboard for that matter.

Best solution is to purchase a new gaming case, which are remarkably inexpensive, such as this matching MSI model: https://www.amazon.com/MSI-MAG-Forge-321R-Airflow/dp/B0CWJC35KR/ref=sr_1_6?crid=139YUQCQLUDNB&dib=ey....
