I was thinking about upgrading to a rx 580 but noticed it required over 200 wats to function. But my pc only comes with 150 wats. So how would I go about getting a new psu.

@MoltaExlips,

You cannot, your motherboard only accepts HP's proprietary power supplies.

@MoltaExlips,

Welcome to our HP User Forum!

Your HP Pavilion Desktop TP01-0165z PC (3UQ92AA), as fitted with an Erica motherboard (SSID: 8643), is fitted with a 180-watt power supply (see: HP Pavilion Desktop - TP01-0165z Product Specifications | HP® Customer Support).

You can upgrade your power supply with either a 400-watt unit with p/n: L04618-800, or a 500-watt unit, with p/n: L05757-800. Either power supply can be purchased online, such as through eBay.

Reference: Power Supply Cross Reference for specific models - HP Support Community - 7483923.

For an RX 580, you definitely want the 500-watt power supply: AMD Radeon RX 580 Specs | TechPowerUp GPU Database.

Hope this was helpful.

@MoltaExlips,

An HP L05757-800 500-watt power supply is a bit pricey.

You can get one at Amazon: Amazon.com: LXun Upgraded L05757-800 500W Switching PSU Power Supply Compatible with HP EliteDesk Z2..., or if you are comfortable ordering via AliExpress (the PRC's Amazon equivalent) and don't mind waiting two+ weeks for delivery, here is one of their purchase options: Free ship for Envy 795-0003UR,Elite 880 G5 TWR,790-P Power Supply,901759-003,L05757-800,DPS-500AB-32....
