Pavillion HPE h8-1160t
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I have a HP Pavillion HPE desktop, h8-1160t, that is 8.5 years old.   It has Intel  i7 2600 quad core processor, 460w power supply, 16GB PC3-10600 memory, 2TB 7200RPM SATA-3G hard drive.  It has Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit US and a graphics card that's failed.  I'm considering fixing it up to serve as a secondary PC (home use).  I am considering a new desktop with current technology to serve as my primary desktop.   My questions:

1.  Windows 7 is no longer supported.  Will this PC support an upgrade to Windows 10 Home and function successfully?

2.  I want to keep the old Microsoft Photo Gallery and Movie Maker programs and Cyberlink Power Director 12 program on it.  If I upgrade to Windows 10, will I have to give up these older programs?  How can I keep them?

3.  The graphics card (AMD Radeon HD 6850, 1GB GDDRS5) has failed.  What replacement graphics card is suitable?  Primary purpose is photo/video editing, rendering, and creating High Definition video programs to be burned to Blu Ray discs or for streaming.

Thank you in advance.  Helen

@HelenyS,

Your a challenge with the all at once.  I like that on occasion, so here goes.

1) It can be upgraded to win 10 free.    here.

2) MS Photo Gallery (Y),  Movie Maker (yes, new versionCyberLink 12 compatibility tester

3) New or used HD6850 or GTX 550Ti will be OK.  You can not use modern GPU cards because of the existing Legacy BIOS, which can not be upgraded to UEFIvBIOS.
