Hi i recently bought a Pavilion TG-01 2037nt desktop ( https://support.hp.com/hk-en/document/c07635476 ) and decided to upgrade its 8 gb RAM to 16.
It came with a 3200mhz Micron one and i found a compatible RAM to add to it ( https://www.crucial.com/memory/ddr4/ct8g4dfra32a/ct20511309 )
The problem is i don't know what speed will i get. Obviously i can't use XMP as it's locked out and Ryzen Master says it's not supporting my CPU. So what would be the default speed i'd get without using these? 3200mhz? 2666mhz? or 2133mhz? And is it even worth upgrading it if it is downclocked. Thank you for your time.

You can find RAM upgrade information from its motherboard

@Banhien
Thank you for your reply. I know that my Cpu and motherboard support up to 3200 mhz. What i'd like to learn is what is the HP limitation set on BIOS. Since Hp prevent me from using XMP feature, what they did set on BIOS will be the deciding factor. When i insert a new 3200 mhz DDR4 RAM to this model, what will be the clock speed i get on my RAMs? Is it basic 2133 mhz or did HP set some other value or do they allow me to use the advertised 3200 mhz speed? Thanks.

Hello
I think we can not answer this question
everything will depend on the compatibility of the added module
Normally, if you have an original 8 GB DDR4-3200 MHz RAM (1 x 8 GB) module
Supports up to PC4-25600 (DDR4-3200)
This must be the measured speed
If the module is compatible, it should be the same!
But if the module is not fully compatible with the original module, or the motherboard, the speed may be reduced.
"And is it even worth upgrading it if it is downclocked. Thank you for your time."
It's up to you to see, you will have more memory, but slower, it may not be felt too much
unless you are a fanatic of performance testing with some software
My problem was different, I just reused modules from another computer, knowing that the speed was not the same, I finally did not find big differences!

Bumping this up for people who might have the same questions as me. I bought a RAM with the same density, frequency, timings and the same(ish) brand and i got the advertised 3200 mhz speed.
Stock RAM was Micron 4ATF1G64AZ-3G2E1 8GB 3200 Mhz CL22
What i bought is Crucial CT8G4DFRA32A 8GB 3200 Mhz CL22
Another thing is Ryzen Master, which is the only way to overclock your RAM in case it gets downclocked, got a new update and started supporting more CPUs including my Ryzen 3 5300G
