HP Pavilion 24-xa All-in-One Desktop PC (5KF25AV)

Hi, I use my all in one to process photos and unfortunately the system is painfully slow. Point blank unusable when processing in PS.

Research days upgrading the RAM to the maximum 16gb with an addition card may help.

Before I leap in to making a purchase I wanted to see how easy the dismantling would be and I've unfortunately stumbled at the first hurdle. If my research is correct I need to remove the primary screw from the stand base. Though this screw is just endlessly spinning? I am using a phillips screwdriver so I'm very confused.

There isn't much info on upgrades to this specific model so any advice on how straight forward this process is will be great. Otherwise I think I will neee to look at an alternate pc which is such a shame and quite frustrating.

That screw does not come out, it just needs to be loosened as shown in video

Please run the following command from the windows command prompt

wmic memorychip get devicelocator, capacity, speed, MemoryType, formfactor, partnumber, manufacturer

If you have a single 8gb stick of memory replace it with the exact one if possible.  Do not mix 2400 speed with 2666

If you have a pair of 4gb sticks then any of the following will do

https://www.kingston.com/en/memory/search/systemdevices?makeOrModel=24+xa

might be cheaper on eBay but make sure the vendor accepts returns.
