HP Pavilion Gaming - TG01-0023w
Microsoft Windows 11

I have a HP Pavilion Gaming - TG01-0023w and am unable to find the QVL(Qualified Vendor List) compatibility list so I can upgrade my RAM. Currently there is just the 8GB stick that it came with which I found out is a Samsung brand. I'm not sure if this is compatible - TEAMGROUP T-Create TTCED432G32G3200HC16FDC01 Expert Overclocking 10L DDR4 32GB 3200MHz (PC4 25600) CL16 Desktop RAM Memory Module. I am also not sure if I will even notice a difference between a CL16 vs a CL22. Any suggestions?

@Armor32,

Your HP Pavilion Gaming - TG01-0023w (6YR56AA) as fitted with the Erica motherboard (SSID: 8643) can be upgraded up to 2x16GB of DDR4 PC4-25600, 3200 MHz, Non-ECC, UDIMM, 288-pin RAM.

Based on actual HP System Pavilion Gaming Desktop TG01-0xxx Users as seen here, I would recommend any of the following 2x16GB matching RAM kits which will run at 3200 MHz -which is the fastest your PC can run any RAM -no, you don't have access to XMP RAM overclocking:

2x16GB Crucial CT16G4DFRA32A.C8FF
2x16GB Crucial Pro CP16G4DFRA32A.C8FF
2x16GB Crucial Ballistix BL16G32C16U4RL.16FE
2x16GB Timetec 78AP16NUSL1R8

Upgrading to 32GB should help. That Crucial 2x16GB kit is solid but check the motherboard can handle it. Swap it in carefully and there should be a nice performance boost.

From the HP pages, this was all i was really able to find in manuals,

Memory upgrade information

  • Dual channel (1 DIMM per channel) memory architecture
  • Two DDR4 UDIMM (288-pin) sockets
  • Supports PC4-21300 (DDR4-2666)
  • Supports 4 GB, 8 GB, and 16 GB DDR4 UDIMMs
  • Supports up to 4 GB on 32-bit systems
    note:
32-bit systems cannot address a full 4.0 GB of memory.
  • Supports up to 32 GB (unbuffered) on 64-bit computers
