I have the HP Omen 40L with 1TB of SSD, I would like to add more SSD. I purchased a Samsung 990 PRO PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD that is 2TB. I would like to know is it possible for me to add it in the second SSD slot without a heatsink so that I can have 3TB of SSD or do I need to remove the 1TB that came with the PC and install my 2TB in that slot until I get a heatsink.

Hello LuxuryyMonroe, how are you ?
It will not be possible to use the 2 SSDs together.
It will actually be necessary to remove one SSD and put the other in its place.
In his manual below on page 12 and onwards, there is only a single SSD connector.

Hope this helps
Thanks
