This machine is used as a Golf Simulator. It has 310 w HP 80 plus Gold PS. I'm trying to install a PNY GeForce GTX 1650 graphics card. When I bootup error stating to connect power cable to all Graphics cards even though everything I read states it will work with just the 80 Plus power supply. This power supply isn't equipped with an additional power cable.
It appears to me that this machine is very limited on upgrade. Any suggestions, buy a more powerful machine??
Thank for any help.
Dave

Hi Gaya1239,
Thank you for your input. I doubled checked all suggestions and I still received same error. I think the reason may be this Video card has two cooling fans. I purchased a Sata Cable with (15 pin) one end to a 6 Pin PCI Express Video Card power cable (6 pin v 1.X) male. This cable has two legs for power. I connected power cable to card using just 1 leg. Powered up and worked fine. I googled and found that 1 leg was 75w and both = 150w. I connected both legs to the adapter and all is good.
Again, thank you for your help.

Hi @Dave843 ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're encountering a power supply issue when trying to upgrade the graphics card in your HP ENVY Desktop PC TE01-4000i. The PNY GeForce GTX 1650 typically doesn't require additional power connectors beyond what the PCIe slot provides, but some models may have supplementary power requirements.
Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:
Check the PCIe Slot: Ensure that the graphics card is properly seated in the PCIe slot on the motherboard. Sometimes improper installation can cause power-related errors.
Update BIOS: Check if there are any BIOS updates available for your HP ENVY Desktop PC. Sometimes BIOS updates can improve compatibility with newer hardware.
Verify Power Requirements: While the GTX 1650 generally doesn't require additional power connectors, there might be specific models or variations that do. Double-check the specifications of your particular GTX 1650 model to confirm its power requirements.
Refer to this document: HP ENVY Desktop PC TE01-4000i User manual
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
