Hello,
Like many of the others, I'm looking to upgrade and read some of the existing posts on upgrading all in ones with some great help from Paul-T.
The wheels fell off however when I tried going to motherboard specifications link after finding my product here - https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06606653 the like no longer exists and I want to make sure I actually can upgrade and what's compatible.
If I can please have any help or guidance on if I can upgrade memory and what with, and basically get it functioning like it's not dragging through mud that would be great!
Thank you, Mon

Hello,
As per your post, I can see and I give you some info to find you best way to solve your query...
According to my knowledge, you can upgrade the memory for your HP Pavilion All-in-One 24-r0xx model. Here are some steps to do so:
* Find out the exact model number and product number of your PC. You can find them on the label at the back of your PC or by using the HP Support Assistant software.
* Check the motherboard specifications for your PC model. You can use the HP PartSurfer website to search by product number and find the motherboard part number. Then you can use the HP Customer Support website to search by motherboard part number and find the specifications document. Alternatively, you can use the link below to access the motherboard specifications for the 24-r0xx series.
* Determine the type and amount of memory that is compatible with your PC. The motherboard specifications document will tell you the memory type, speed, capacity, and configuration that your PC supports. For example, the 24-r0xx series supports DDR4-2400 SODIMM memory modules, up to 16 GB per slot, and dual channel configuration.
* Purchase the memory modules that match the specifications and your desired upgrade. You can use online tools such as the Crucial Memory Scanner to find compatible memory modules for your PC model.
* Install the memory modules following the instructions in the upgrading and servicing guide for your PC model. You can use the link below to access the guide for the 24-r0xx series. The guide will show you how to open the PC case, locate the memory slots, remove the existing modules, and insert the new ones.
I hope this helps you with your upgrade. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask me.
Best regard,

Hello Carol,
Thank you for your reply however my model isn't 24r0-
I specified the exact product in the link I provided, and along with my original post have gotten the model number to check the specifications and as stated, the document does not exist.
You also reference a link for motherboard specifications that you didn't include, for a different model. There is also reference to another link for a guide that was also not included.
I know the motherboard is a MonkD. I know it has 2 spare M.2 slots available and as the all-in-one is a 64 bit can be upgraded from an 8GB to 16GB using DDR4-2400 SODIMM.
The part finder also specifies 2 different SODIMM ram types - I was hoping to only pull it apart once, not have to pull it apart to check what ram is installed before ordering. I wanted to make sure they are the same to minimize the chance of any other issues.
Additionally, according to HP support document, When I boot up, I can check via System Information the total memory capacity, speed, channels etc. They advised doing so to assess currently installed memory and minus that figure from total memory to get the balance of memory to install.
When doing so, the total memory was 8192MB, Single channel with channel A:0 and Channel B:8192MB.
So, what I got from this is the instructions are incorrect and this is only reading the total current memory.
Am I correct then in assuming the 16GB would be the total I can have (current 8GB plus and additional 8GB) and not 32GB as some other sources would have me believe?
Thank you, Mon
