This thread has a solution over a year old. I believe it would be a good idea to start a whole new thread to specifically deal with this gaming laptop. But in a nutshell, it is not so easy as to just swap one SSD for another. How would you get an OS onto the new SSD for example? Optane will accelerate a SATA SSD and it is useful to have and not hard to set up.
