Welcome to our HP Community forum!
You want to max out your legacy HP Pavilion P7-1003w (QN574AAR) PC? -You have come to the right place.
Theoretically, the very best processor compatible with your FOXCONN 2AB1 motherboard would be the AMD Phenom II X6 1100T (6-Cores, 6-Threads, 3.20 GHz up to 3.60 GHz, 125-watt TDP). This processor can be yours for around $100 or less via an eBay Seller.
Please be advised that the standard AMD Phenom II X4 processors have a 95-watt TDP, meaning, the X6 1100T will run hot, and you may need a CPU heatsink upgrade.
There is a 95-watt X6 processor, the AMD Phenom II X6 1065T (6-Core, 6-Threads, 2.90 GHz up to 3.40 GHz, 95-watt TDP), which can be yours for around $50 via an eBay Seller, which may be what you want.
You want to max out RAM: 4x4GB of DDR3 PC3-10600, 1333 MHz, Non-ECC, UDIMM, 240-pin RAM sticks, such as 4x4GB of Samsung M391B5273CH0-CH9 or 4x4GB of Samsung M378B5273DH0-CH9.
Use a quality SATA SSD as your primary (boot) drive, such as a Samsung 870 EVO.
Graphics card upgrade? That depends if you want to upgrade your stock 20-pin ATX 250-watt power supply, can discuss later if you are interested.
Kind Regards,
