Hello,
I work at a shool. We have a lab full of HP ProDesk 600 G2 Microtower Business PCs. The lab's teacher would like to upgrade one of the computers so it can utilize a VR program she purchased. The computer will need to be upgraded so that it includes an "Nvidia GeForce GTX 970, AMD Radeon R9 290 equivalent or better."
The biggest issue is going to be the power supply. The HP ProDesk 600 G2 Microtower Business PC only has a 280 mw power supply and most of these graphics cards require a 400+ mw Power Supply.
Does any one have any suggestions about which power supply I should buy? Also, if you know of any graphics card that fit the bill, I would love to hear about them.
Right now, I have been looking at the GeForce® GTX 1050 Ti OC Low Profile 4G. It seems roughly equivalent to the Nvidia GTX 970 but will fit in the case. The big benefit is that it will only require 300 mw power supply (although I would still need to find a 300 mw power supply that would fit in this case).
Thank you all for your help 🙂

Maybe a bit late but it could be helpful for others.
I had the same but I just bought it and it workd perfectly with the stock powersupply.
The only downside is that you have to sacrifise the lower 2 USB inputs on the front because otherwise the card does not fit.
This shouldn't be that big of a problem because there are plenty at the back.
