@EastonG , welcome to the Community.

Here is the Motherboard Specifications for your computer.  If you look at the section titled "Processor upgrade information" you will find a list of compatible processors.  These have been tested to assure they are fully compatible with your motherboard.  If a processor is not on the list it will most likely not be compatible.  The Ryzen 9 5900x is not on the list.

I have a M01-F0014 which uses the same motherboard. I tried installing a 3700X and the fan ran up but it only gave a black screen.

However, it does have a 180W power supply, which was also running a ~35W video card. I've seen tests of the 3700X showing a peak power draw of ~90W, so it's possible the power supply may be the issue.

Since it costs less to get a used Gigabyte A320 motherboard than to upgrade that I wound up reusing an ancient a6500f case.

As an interesting side note, I also upgraded a Sunflower at the same time, giving me the opportunity to test four different processors on each motherboard, the Sunflower is a 590-p0024 with a 180W power supply:

Ryzen 2200G - Sunflower yes, Erica no

Ryzen 3200G - Sunflower maybe? It showed some signs of working but the motherboard had security issues, TPM or something. Since it is so slow I didn't care to put in lots of effort to get it working. Erica yes.

Ryzen 1700 - Sunflower yes, Erica no

Ryzen 3700X - Sunflower no, Erica no

Sunflower had BIOS revision 54 at the time, Erica had 33.
