Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am using a HP-Envy-Phoenix-800-002a-Desktop with a Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4770 CPU @ 3.40GHz. The CPU is incompatible for an upgrade to Windows 11; nor does it have a TPM chip on the motherboard.

I can't afford to replace the desktop. What can I do to replace the CPU with a Win 11 compatible CPU and install TPM 2.0 chip on the existing motherboard - a HP 2AF3 v1.0?

@Jaegel,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

The best available processor compatible with your HP ENVY Phoenix 800-002a Desktop PC (H5Z23AA) as fitted with the Kaili motherboard (SSID: 2AF3), is the fabled "Devil's Canyon": i7-4790K, and that processor is also not Windows 11 eligible according to Microsoft.

However, there are a number of reliable and effective methods developed which would allow you to almost effortlessly upgrade your PC to Windows 11, such as this easy-to-follow YouTube instructional video shows: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lSrmhhigEhY&t=332s&ab_channel=Tips2Fix.

In the off-chance you don't like W11, you have 10 days to roll back to Windows 10. After 10 days, unless you follow the steps outlined in this instructional video, you may need to do a fresh install of Windows 10. Either way, this video will show you what to do: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2v9_-4JCh_U&ab_channel=Tips2Fix.

Kind Regards,
