Product: HP Pavilion Gaming Computer
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I don’t know how to make the new 2.5” drive become the C drive. The SSD connected to the motherboard is the boot drive. I can remove it but the computer won’t boot to the newly cloned drive. Can someone help me please? Thank you!!

What is the exact model of your unit. 

What GB size 2.5" SSD did you buy?  What program performed the clone? 

If the new SSD is "seen" in the Boot order, did you change the Boot order to the new device?

Once you remove secure boot the drive is listed under Legacy devices. Is that right?
