Hello,
I am going to upgrade my CPU from the original AMD A8 to an AMD A10 6.8k. The CPU is supported by the MoBo per the Pavilion 500-214 spec sheet; however, I've never done this before and am curious if I need to update BIOS or do anything software-related before dropping the new chip. Thoughts?
Thanks for your time.

Hello
In theory if the processor is indicated, there is no need to touch the bios, which I recommend not to modify, unless there is a particular problem, because it is not without risk!
From what I noticed, there is no maj of the bios, unless I am mistaken
The motherboard says:
- JasmineR
- SSID: 2AE0
And there is only this:
HP Consumer Desktop PC BIOS Update (ROM Family SSID 2AF7)
HP Consumer Desktop PC BIOS Update (ROM Family SSID 2AFE)
