@Achillesxxx , here is the MSI GTX 1650 Super:  https://www.amazon.com/MSI-Gaming-GTX-1650-Super/dp/B081R2KRCZ

It shows in the Specifications by MSI:  https://www.msi.com/Graphics-card/GeForce-GTX-1650-SUPER-GAMING-X/Specification

that it requires a PSU with a minimum of 350W.  The manufacturers do over-state the requirements at times to protect themselves, however.  Some of the other manufacturers state that the card requires a 6-pin power connector: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/graphics-cards/gtx-1650-super/?ncid=afm-chs-44270&ranMID=44270&...

Look at the Tab titled "Spec" in the link.  I provided this information to show that you have to be careful about reading the specifications on one page.

I would choose a manufacturer and contact their Tech Support for help with choosing the best card for your system.

@Achillesxxx , welcome to the forum.

What is the full model or product number of the computer? I need this information to review the specifications of it. Please don't furnish the Serial # or other personal information. Here is a guide to help you find it: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/bph07555

I'm basically just trying to run my VR. I dont really need a super PC. The product number for my PC is 3LB35AA.  I'm at work so I apologize if my responses are short or take awhile  @Old_geekster.

I essentially have the same computer. I just added a 1650 Super and it works fine. I wouldn't do much more than that with the 310W PSU. I considered upgrading the PSU, but ended up just settling on the 1650 Super. No complaints from me.

one more question.  I have 310w. Do I have to upgrade that to hit the 350w the 1650 super has?
