my machine came loaded with 16 Gb ram.... I upgraded to 30 the old memory was running at 2666MHz the new memory is 3600 MHZ but it will only run at 2133  I cant seem to find a solution

@Lawnpro -- most sticks of RAM have a small SPD (Serial Presence Detect) chip, that defines the various speeds that the RAM supports, namely the rated speed (3600), plus some lower speeds, such as 2133.

 

Download, install, and run the free SPECCY software, to get the details for each stick of your RAM, and for the speed of the motherboard that drives the RAM.  

 

Maybe, one of the slower speeds of the new RAM is not 2666 ??
