ECC RAM will not work in your HP Compaq 8300 Elite SFF.
You can install up to 4 x 8GB of DDR3 PC3-12800, 1600 MHz, Non-ECC, Unbuffered, DIMM (UDIMM), 240-pin RAM sticks.
