HP Envy 750-124
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have finally decided to upgrade my pc tower with SSD (for the future, I am thinking of changing the graphics card and power supply). However, there is a question for me for upgrading.

I have 😧 Drive which is the Recovery Image. As far as I remember, my HP Envy 750-124 has only two places to store the HDD or SSD. Is there a way that I can have three of them or make d: drive together with c: drive?

Also, I am curious about how to make an SSD as an operating system and save the files on C: drive(such as photoshops and other adobe ccs).

I am thinking of changing the graphics card and power supply.  When you are ready to make the upgrade, just start another thread.

However, there is a question for me for upgrading.

I have 😧 Drive which is the Recovery Image. As far as I remember, my HP Envy 750-124 has only two places to store the HDD or SSD.  The best way to add a SSD is to clone the existing hard drive (HDD) to it.  This will add both the C: and 😧 drives to the SSD along with the other data.  You can't have the 😧 partion on another drive.  I normally leave the HDD connected to the motherboard the way it came from the factory.  I connect the SSD to another SATA port on the motherboard.  Since I prefer Samsung SSD's, (They seem to work best with HP motherboards.) I install Samsung's Data Migration software onto the HDD and run it.  It will ask you for the Target drive and you will select the SSD.  Once the HDD is cloned, you will disconnect it from the motherboard and boot the computer.  It should boot to the SSD without making any changes to the settings.  If you want to use the HDD for storage, you can simply install it into another drive bay.

Is there a way that I can have three of them or make d: drive together with c: drive?  See my answer above about the 😧 partition (Drive).

Also, I am curious about how to make an SSD as an operating system and save the files on C: drive(such as photoshops and other adobe ccs).  See my answer above for making the SSD the boot drive.
