Hi, I have Just been told by people from nvidia support that it' not advisable to update my graphics card? Is this correct? This is my current Graphics Card   nvidia- GeForce GT 545

Driver version: 391.35

intel(R)Core(TM)i7-2600CPU@3.40GHz  3.40GHz

Installed Ram 8.00GB.

 

If I can upgrade can you give me sugestions please

Hi, Will:

 

Since your PC has a legacy BIOS, you wouldn't be able to upgrade beyond the nVidia GT 6xx model series, so if your graphics card is working, I wouldn't bother.

 

The GT 7xx and beyond require a HP PC to have a BIOS family revision of 8.xx, and yours only goes up to 7.12.

Thanks for your speedy reply, the graphics card still works, good way of getting people to buy new computers. I would have quite happily paid for a new Bios update?
