P7-1280t
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hey everyone. I am wanting to upgrade my old Hp P7-1280t. I would like to start out upgrading my PSU and GPU. Currently it’s running the OEM 300w Psu and HD5570 Gpu.  My Pc has the I5-2400 and Pegatron Ipisb-cu motherboard running the Legacy Bios. I was hoping to or upgrade to a 500w Psu and maybe a RX 570 or Gtx 1650 in hopes of when I can save up more money upgrading everything else as I could. I mainly play WoW on this Pc. So is it possible to upgrade just the Psu and gpu now or am I going to have to upgrade everything at the same time?  I am getting mixed info on wether or not I can run newer Gpus in my PC with the Legacy Bios. Thanks in advance for any help.

@Slicer021 Welcome to HP Community!

Here's a list of parts tested and approved to work on your device: Click here to verify

That said, as an upgrade/custom enthusiast I personally love the idea of upgrading the device as well, However, HP recommends that you go easy on it as the device is equipped with parts that perform at its optimal performance and also, the upgradeable parts listed in HP articles are purely for your ease, though the decision to upgrade will be at your own discretion.

Hence, I cannot be precise nor can I help you with the specifics, perhaps, you can check with a local tech for more details on what you need to upgrade the device.

I hope that answers your query,
