Hello Dear Hp Community
so i own a HP Pavilion Gaming TG01-2400ng with the Erica 6 Motherboard that only supports 5300g 5600g and 5700g. as i need more CPU performance I want to Upgrade to an 5600x. Ive read another thread (cant remember the specific one)that another user tried upgrading the cpu on an Erica 2 motherboard that wasnt supported and sucseeded. Ive also read that HP likes to limit the tdp on their motherboards so as far that goes it wouldnt be an issue as the 5600x has the same tdp . Im curious ifyou think it would work and if not if there is a way to modifiy the bios or flash it in order to make it work .
Thank you in adcvance

Your PC supports up to an AMD Ryzen 7 5700G: HP Desktop PCs - Motherboard Specifications, Erica6 | HP® Customer Support. All of the processors listed in the aforementioned link are compatible and will work just fine on your Erica6 MOBO, and all are rated at 65 watt TDP.
Take a look what Users have been able to make work on your and related HP TG01-2xxx's (please note: not all systems listed here are based on an HP 8906 MOBO - Erica6): UserBenchmark: HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop TG01-2xxx Compatible Components.
Hope this helps.
Kind Regards,
