I have tried following the instructions using the F10 Method.
The response I get when I try to execute the install is it corrupt?
Any detailed help will be appreciated as I am a novice at this.

It so happened that the HP Elite 8300 USDT was a recent HP Legacy Desktop Upgrade Project of mine.
Dear @Paul_Tikkanen, your link is indeed useful, but my thread happens to be more detailed and discusses/shows a host of additional soft- and hardware upgrading: Solved: Upgrading HP Compaq Elite 8300 USDT - HP Support Community - 8118827.

Hi, @Mike-Forums
It does not matter what operating system you are running to use the method I posted to update the BIOS.

Paul,
I will continue to try and execute the instructions your post documents.
So far, I have attempted them three times and I have failed three times with the same result.
In reading online information regarding the bios upgrade, I haven't noticed V02.90 referenced.
I thought that perhaps V02.90 was an exception Version of some sort.
I will continue to try as I believe it's just something I am doing wrong that prevents the upgrade from succeeding.
Thank you for documenting the procedure.

Paul,
Good morning!
Over the course of about ten years, you have helped me with my PC's ailments.
Many times, like this one, following your procedures, baffled me.
Like those times in the past, rereading and rereading them allowed me to reach my goal.
My novice status at understanding infrequently used terms and techniques was the cause.
Your clear and straight forward documentation, however, was eventually the solution.
My PC is now on V3.08!
Thank you again!

You're very welcome, Mike.
If you are interested, you can upgrade your PC to W10 for free by clicking on the blue Update Now button at the link below.
Download Windows 10 (microsoft.com)
Before doing that, you may want to do a backup of your existing drive configuration.
I would make a system image of your current W7 installation prior to updating to W10, so you can easily reinstall W7 in the future. I used the free Macrium Reflect software to do that, under the Backup at Home section.
Along with the system image, make sure you create the bootable DVD or USB rescue drive you boot from to access the system image stored on your portable hard drive.
Macrium Software | Reflect Free Edition
I have the previous generation 8200 Elite CMT (actually two of them) and they both are now running on W11 Pro.
If you decide to upgrade to W10 and then want to upgrade to W11 Pro, let me know and I will give you an easy way to do that too.
W11 Is not natively supported on any PC with an Intel processor older than an 8th generation core, but it works fine nonetheless.
Cheers,
Paul
