Victus by HP 15L Gaming Desktop PC TG02-0000i RCTO Base Model

I am trying to put a RTX3060ti into this computer. However the PSU is only 350W, so it is not enough. I've read that the power plugs on the motherboard are "proprietary", although looking at the motherboard myself I don't see what's proprietary about 4 pin MOLEX connectors.

There are 2, 4 pin molex connectors. One that's black/black/brown/brown, and black/black/yellow/yellow. Black is ground, and yellow/brown are both 12vdc. Has anyone tried fitting a SFX power supply into the Victus 15L and making a custom molex connector for the 2 4 pin connectors on the motherboard? I'm hoping someone can confirm that this will work, so I can make this work. Ty!

hi

please check

you may have reno2 motherboard

https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/victus-by-hp-15l-gaming-desktop-pc-tg02-0000i/2101006741/produc...

If so, then the best I can suggest is:

L89233-001
SKO-PSU 500W MT WS20 EPA90

Hi,

I think it may be the Reno2 but I’m not sure. How can I find out? Also, is there a PSU that’s > 500W? Nvidia recommends at least 550W with the rtx3060ti, so I was hoping to put a 650W or 750W psu inside.

hi

if you have the exact model of the computer
see also system information
in search type 'system information'
open the program
you will have here, certainly, just mention of the series, not useful
a product number, like this
System reference (SKU) 3ER16EA#ABF
and give me the SSID
8437 base board product
if it is the reno2 it must correspond with:
HP name: Reno2
SSID: 89B5

unfortunately currently all that can be offered will be the hp model of 500w max
a short time ago, I saw a solution on youtube which consists of removing the connector from the original power supply, and adapting it to another power supply
Only, I find it quite risky, and you have to manage to do everything as explained, not obvious if there is a problem with different colors
basically you risk to grill everything!

for the graphics card, I often recommend the Asus site with filter options

just 500w

https://www.asus.com/motherboards-components/graphics-cards/all-series/filter?Spec=683

may help ?
