OMEN by HP 25L Gaming Desktop PC GT15-0000a (4Q9S1AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello!

I have spent round about 3 hours to inform myself which Mainboard is in my PC. I have come to the conclusion that it is the mATX HanaL 89EB AMD B550. I have read some informations online that the mainboard only supportsd CPUs with 65 Wattage. Some other say that it is possible to upgrade to a CPU with higher Wattage needs...

My main question is: Can I upgrade my Ryzen 5 5600G to a Ryzen 7 5800X (with a 850W PSU). Furthermore, will there be any problems with my performance or is there anything I should be aware of? I am hoping that i dont have to buy another mainboard alltogether.

Thank you in advance!

Excellent question -I have glad tidings for you.

The HanaL specs which indeed claim that the "TDP: Up to 65 W" is incorrect.

An HP OMEN by HP 25L Gaming Desktop GT15-0xxx has been shown by Users to be able to handle up to 105 watt processors.

The best processor which has been shown to be compatible with your HanaL motherboard (SSID: 89EB) would be an AMD Ryzen 9 5900X (12-Cores, 24-Threads, 3.70 GHz up to 4.80 GHz).

And yes, you can upgrade to an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X (8-Cores, 16-Threads, 3.80 GHz up to 4.70 GHz).

Hope this was helpful.

Kind Regards,
