Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Can I upgrade a core i5 2400 processor 3.10 ghz with a newer i5 in an HP Pavillion p6780t? I have added memory to a a maximum 8GB

Motherboard supports the following processor upgrades:
- Core i3-2xxx series
- Core i5-2xxx series
- Core i7-26xx series
Must select one of the following options:
- Core i5-2300 (Sandybridge) (95W), 2.8 GHz
- Core i5-2400 (Sandybridge) (95W), 3.1 GHz
- Core i5-2500 (Sandybridge) (95W), 3.3 GHz
- Core i5-2600 (Sandybridge) (95W), 3.4 GHz
- Four 240-pin DDR3 DIMM sockets
- Supports PC3-10600 (DDR3-1333)
- Non-ECC memory only, unbuffered
