Hello, everyone...
I want to purchase HP ProDesk 400 G5 MT-PC or SFF-PC
One important aspect that I can not find in the QuickSpecs of HP fro G5 is the upgratability of video card.
1. Can ProDesk 400 G5 MT or SFF be upgrated with NVIDIA card?
2. Can HP please provide a list of NVIDIA cards that are compartible for upgrate?
3. Can HP provide a link for purchase of NVIDIA cards that are compartible?
Thank you in advance!
Alex

@AAGatZ, welcome to the forum.
Here is the Maintenance and Service Guide for the ProDesk 400 G5 MT:
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06028070
In Chapter 2, Page 8, there is a list of compatible video cards. However, there is no mention of being able to upgrade the cards. I believe that you would have to order it with the best of the cards mentioned. The limiting factor is the power supply unit. You can order a 310W, 250W or 180W PSU. This is not enough power to run any retail cards.
Here is the Maintenance and Service Guide for the ProDesk 400 G5 SFF:
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06027985
You can find the compatible cards in Chapter 2, Page 8. The only option for a PSU in the SFF is 180W. Therefore, again, you have to choose from the list of cards shown in the guide.
This is the only information that HP provides on these two computers. However, there is all of the information that you will need to make a choice.

While @old_geekster was nice to you. It's my task to bear the bad news.
These models use a non-standard PSU (power supply). See pg 39 on the above manual that old_geekster linked. It does not use the commonly found ATX power plug (20/24 pin) main and 4 pin AUX. The PCIEx16 slot can only handle 75W, so it utilizes low power 50W cards. It's not a gamer, never was intended for it.
