Pavilion 590-p0054
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a Pavilion 590-p0109 that recently died. It has 2 DDR4-2400 sticks of RAM, 16GB each. Can I use these in a Pavilion 590-p0054?

@jeobsplyr,

Welcome to our HP User Forum!

Yes, you can (assuming the RAM modules are not defective), since both PCs are fitted with DDR4 PC4-19200, 2400 MHz 288-pin RAM sticks.

Hi, @jeobsplyr

See my reply to your other post...I was wrong about all Intel 8th gen core processors supporting DDR4-2666 MHz memory.

Hi Paul, i have been wondereing if the HP 590-p0054 is upgradable, ( i.e. ssd drives, especially psu).  I received a response from one of the community members, and was wondering if you agree with his answer:

As verified here: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06124759, your HP Pavilion 590-p0054 Desktop PC (3LB89AA) is fitted with a Lincs motherboard (SSID: 843B).

And yes, the 400-watt power supply with p/n: L04618-800 is indeed compatible with your desktop.

Better still, though, this 500-watt power supply with p/n: L05757-800 is also compatible with your PC, and can be purchased online, such as via eBay: https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=HP+L05757-800+&_sacat=0&_sop=15&LH_PrefLoc=1&rt=nc&LH....

Hi:

NonSequitur777 has an outstanding knowledge of upgrading desktop PC's and his information is as good as gold, as far as I'm concerned.

I never upgrade my PC's beyond what the stock components can support, such as upgrading a power supply.
