I replaced an older HP desktop with the Prodesk 600 G4 SFF. I am trying to install the Seagate Barracuda 1TB SATA drive from the old system into the new. Model number is ST1000DM003. I've connected the cables and made sure the data cable is connected to the dark blue SATA0 connector. The system is not recognizing the old drive, or isd the drive spinning up. Ther eare no boot beep errors on power up. There drive is just not seen. What step am I missing?

Are you using this old Seagate drive as a data or attempting to boot from it?

Strictly want to use it as a secondary drive. The system is booting off the SSD. Figured I might as well keep the 1TB for backups, pictures, MP3s, etc.
The system boots fine when the drive is attached.. i just don’t see the Seagate drive mounted as d: in Explorer and it doesn’t show up in Device Manager.
