Considering the purchase of this system, specs don't indicate if any M2 slots are open and how many SATA connections are available to add 3.5 HDDs...

Hi
Check out this You Tube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rKyLdGMqezw which shows a typical Victus 15L Intel CPU motherboard layout and upgrade options.
HP seems to be using one motherboard in this product line using an Intel CPU, the Reno2 https://support.hp.com/ie-en/document/c08107634 Maybe a different forum member can verify what I have found using HP online documentation. There could be different MBs available having different options.
The AMD MB can be found at this site and should have similar MB options https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/victus-by-hp-15l-gaming-desktop-pc-tg02-0000a/2101006743/docume...
This MB has one M.2 PCIe storage device slot which is occupied with a 1 TB NVME SSD. The video shows three SATA data ports on the motherboard. It looks like HP provides two SATA power cables.
The case has a HDD/SSD cage which can support one 3.5 inch HDD or one 2.5 SSD. You could probably do one of each using double sided sticky tape.
