I bought my 10 year old son a used HP Pavilion HPE H8-1212C as his first computer. Before I picked up the computer I got him an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050ti video card. Every time I put in the video card it beeps.
Is there anyway to get this video card to work with this computer? I have updated it to Windows 10.
Thanks,
FuriousFuchsia

What does your youngster expect of this? It is not a modern gamers delight. The I-7 2600 processor is a base line chip. IF you named a "game" then "we" could evaluate the processor and graphic requirements. (but only for that game).
Sadly that sysytem is circa Jan 2012, ansd was shipped with WIN 7 and what is commonly called a "Legacy BIOS". This Legacy BIOS is NOT upgradeable to the newer UEFIvBIOS established Sept 2012. Alas, the GTX 1050Ti is UEFI. It will NEVER be compatible. The last known GPU to work under Legacy BIOS is the GTX 660. Some GTX 670 might work, but it is a coin-toss. The GTX660 is a superior card compared to the GTX 1050Ti, but does require a new PSU, like a Corsair CX550.
