I want to add USB 3.0 (4 or 5 port) to my Pavilion Elite e9107c; this is a stock computer with no modification up to this point.
Any suggestions on a PCI/e USB 3.0 card would be great (Amazon maybe?)
Will the card need it's own power?
I feel comfortable installing the card but any sort of short walk-through would be helpful...please.
Thanks in advance!!

Hi,
The following link shows its specs
https://support.hp.com/vn-en/document/c01775359
It has 3 PCIe slots therefore you can use PCIe - USB 3.0 card such as
(There are many around and cheaper too).
Normally this type of card won't require more power from a PCIe slot. Some cards many not be P-n-P, therefore you need to be sure you can get drivers from vendor (they used to supply CD but now we have to download).
Note: I tested few of them with my old desktop (already threw away, only laptops now) : we won't see they run at full USB 3.0 speed.
Regards.
