Want to upgrade my mother board with a graphics card with at least 4GB of VRam. My on-board graphics card is not sufficient to run my photo editing software. Can my mother board accept a plug-in graphics card and which card do you
suggest that I purchase?
Thank you,
Mark

Welcome to our HP community forum!
Your HP ENVY Desktop PC TE01-3000i (4M0M1AV) as fitted with a Reno motherboard (SSID: 89B5) is either powered with a 310-watt power supply (p/n: L10875-800) or a 400-watt power supply (p/n: L69242-800) -please verify and let me know what you got.
If you got the 400-watt power supply, I would recommend a smaller-sized (two fan) RTX 4060 8GB model powered by a single 8-pin PCIe power cable, such as this competitively priced Amazon purchase example for under $300: Amazon.com: MSI Gaming GeForce RTX 4060 8GB GDRR6 Extreme Clock: 2505 MHz 128-Bit HDMI/DP Nvlink TOR....

No, there is not. Checking the wattage/part number of your power supply is actually very easy: just remove the side panel and look at the power supply's label:

I checked the power supply that is part of my system. It is part #: L08262-002 and it is a 310 W supply. I didn’t see any unused outputs from the power supply so if I proceed I would need a graphics card that gets power from the motherboard. I could live with my current system but the software would not be a little slow. Thanks for your help.

You have two basic options.
One, as you appear to lean to, is to stick with your stock 310-watt power supply and upgrade to a more capable graphics card suitable to be powered by said power supply. I can think of two relevant graphics card options:
An RTX A2000 6GB, which can be purchased via Amazon, like this example, or via eBay, such as this example. A less expensive route is to get a low-profile RTX 3050 6GB, such as this example, which you can purchase via Amazon, like this purchase example.
Two, buy a 400-watt power supply, such as this purchase example via a trusted eBay Seller, and get the RTX 4060 as I recommended.

Hi NonSequitor 777,
So I purchased from Amazon the RTX 3050 which was in my price range. The hardest problem I had was trying to figure out how to remove the rear brackets so that the video ports could stick out the back. With much wasted time and frustration I realized that you have to punch them out. In years past there would be an obvious was to remove one.
The card you recommended is now up and running in my pc.
Thank you again for all your help!
