I have an HP 3005pr USB3 Port Replicator that I have been using with a Windows PC for years. I recently switched to a Mac and wanted to know if it would work. I found a post on this forum where someone asks a similar question and is incorrectly told that it won't. Unfortunately, that post is now locked, so I'm starting a new one.

 

The answer is that the USB ports work natively (so mouse, keyboard, etc. connect and are detected by the Mac) but for HDMI you will need to install the DisplayLink software as described in this Reddit post.
