Hello, I have a HP h9-1210t. I’ve never done anything to it and have never worked on a pc before. It has 10gb ram and a amd radeon hd 7670 gpu, I wanna upgrade these two so it can run microsoft flight sim 2020. I’ve learned a lot about it from googling things and youtube. I’m looking at G.SKILL ram which I heard was good, but I would like some advice on the gpu. The current gpu is gddr5, I’ve been looking at userbenchmark.com a lot and it says a nvidia gtx 1660-ti is compatible, but it’s gddr6, would that work or can it only take gddr5?
For gddr5 I was looking at the amd rx 590. Is there any other gddr5 gpu that would be any better?
Thanks for any advice.

Welcome to our HP Community forum!
I would strongly advise against G.SKILL or Corsair RAM because you need XMP access in order to utilize RAM speed.
Your HP Phoenix Desktop Pavilion HPE h9-1210t (B5A50AV) can be fitted with up to 4 x 8GB of DDR3 PC3-12800, 1600 MHz, Non-ECC, UDIMM, 240-pin RAM sticks. If this were my upgrade project, I would purchase a matching RAM kit, such as this quality and affordable ($31!) Amazon purchase option: Timetec 32GB KIT(4x8GB) DDR3L / DDR3 1600MHz (DDR3L-1600) PC3L-12800 / PC3-12800 Non-ECC Unbuffered ....
With regards to a graphics card upgrade, please verify that you got the 600-watt power supply (p/n: 633186-002), but I am unclear if this power supply has one or two 6-pin (6+2-pin?) PCIe power cable(s) -please verify and report back. I need this information to best assist you.
Btw, the best processor for your PC would be the i7-3770K.
Kind Regards,
