The card from Asus arrived. The HDMI is screwy with it too, not sure if it's a strange fit with the size of the HDMI plug (because of the way the case might block the plug from going in another mm or two) or the cable's length (probably shorter than 15 feet), but it still never had such problems with the other computers I tested. I'm not going to troubleshoot this HDMI problem much more because it seems like a waste of time. I might try a cable with a thinner plug, but the DP to HDMI cable is working flawlessly to run at WQHD 60Hz.
The benchmark is here:
https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/60598819
I'm happy with the specs even if some components are running slower than they could with overclocking, I'd rather keep the computer stable without having to worry about cooling. I might replace the cheap SATA SSD the computer came with at some point, but the NVMe should be good for video editing, etc. Samsung Magician's benchmark of the drive was much rosier than UserBenchmark (over 3GB/s read and write, ~252K IOPS read, ~160K IOPS write).
I haven't used the M.2 wifi card much, but it sees my wifi network so it must be working. The card is just inserted but not screwed in because there wasn't a post to make it attach to the metal on the case. Is this something I need to worry about? If so, what would be an appropriate post/standoff to buy to screw the M.2 into place?

To be honest, the performance benchmarks for your rig look good to me. Your processor "performs above expectations" (79th percentile) and your graphics card scored good as well. Question: I assume your Samsung 970 Evo PLUS is your primary (boot) drive?
Anyway, to answer your question how to secure the Wi-Fi card: I bought this "column/standoff/spacer screw nut" kit: 120/300pcs Plastic Nylon M3 Hex Column Standoff Spacer Screw Nut Assortment Kit | eBay, where I used the "M3*5+6mm" (the "5" stands for the length of the actual spacer, and the "6" stands for the thread length):
The 6mm plastic screw-thread screws into the desktop case, and I used a metal ("M3") screw to secure the Wi-Fi card on the spacer.
Hope this was helpful.
Kind Regards,
