Warranty and adding hard drive

Two issues.

1. Received this new computer Thursday from walmart.com. It shows that the warranty started Jan. 1, 2019 and expired Jan. 25, 2020. How can this be with a brand-new computer? How do I go about getting the warranty extended?

2. I would like to add a second hard drive. I can't tell from the documentation if that is possible with this computer? Any suggestions?

according to the characteristics of the motherboard you should have a free SATA port

But the power connector may be special, you have to check directly
An adapter cable may be required
You have to check if there is a free space, it is not indicated
According to this doc, this does not seem to be the case, you have to open the computer
