I'm am very frustrated that I cannot talk to an HP customer service agent about this. I bought a computer from Amazon on May 14. On my product warranty page it says my warranty started and ended on June 25. What the hell?? Anybody have any idea what this is all about? I haven't even had the computer for 90 days. It is shutting down on its own without warning and I can't even get help on a new computer. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to our HP Community forum!
I understand how frustrating that must be -especially with a brand-new system.
Here are a few things to know about the warranty start date issue:
1. HP Starts Warranty Based on First Shipment to Retailer:
HP often begins the warranty clock from the date the product was shipped to or sold by the distributor, not the date you purchased it. This can sometimes result in a warranty that appears expired or shorter than expected.
2. You Can Request a Warranty Start Date Correction:
HP provides an official way to dispute the warranty start date. Here’s how:
Visit: HP Warranty Dispute Form.
Click “Dispute this” next to the incorrect warranty.
Upload a copy of your Amazon invoice showing the purchase date (May 14).
This usually fixes the issue within a few days.
3. Sudden Shutdowns on a New PC Should Not Happen:
Since your PC is shutting down on its own, that sounds like a hardware problem (possibly thermal or power-related). Once your warranty is correctly updated, you should be able to contact HP support directly for service or a replacement.
4. Need Help Contacting HP Support?
You can also reach out to HP Customer Support here: https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp.
Make sure to have your serial number and proof of purchase ready.

Click on "View details" and scroll down to: "The legal warranty expiration date is based on the date of purchase, as indicated on your receipt. If you feel these results are incorrect, you may submit a dispute for review. Dispute this", and click on "Dispute this".

Okay thanks..I thought it was a prominent button but after I scrolled down I did see in tiny letters "dispute this." I filled out the form and uploaded the receipt and got this wonderful message. My God HP has terrible tech support

Yea, that’s unfortunately a too common hiccup with HP’s warranty dispute page, especially during site maintenance or regional server issues.
Here’s what you can do right now to move forward:
Option 1: Use the Alternative Warranty Dispute Form:
If the main “Dispute this” link fails, please go to this alternate route: https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp.
Steps:
Select “Laptop” (or desktop, as applicable).
Enter product serial number and continue.
Under "What can we help you with?", choose:
→ “Warranty and Services”
→ Then click “Warranty Dispute”Fill out the contact form and attach proof of purchase (Amazon receipt dated May 14).
Option 2: Call HP Directly (U.S.):
If the online form remains unavailable:
HP Customer Support (U.S.):
1 ‑ 8 0 0 ‑ HP ‑ INVENT
Mon–Fri, 8 AM–8 PM (local time)
Tell them:
The warranty start/end date is incorrect.
You purchased the unit brand-new on May 14, not June 25.
You have the Amazon invoice as proof.
Ask them to:
Update the warranty start date
Create a case number for future tracking
Pro Tip for Faster Processing:
When submitting the proof of purchase, make sure the Amazon invoice includes:
Product name or model
Order date (May 14)
Order ID
Buyer’s name and shipping address
A simple screenshot from the Amazon order history should usually suffice.
