HP Desktop PC M01-F1000a (2W898AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

My PC was delivered on 21st February 2022.

So, why when I check Warranty Status does it say there are only 9 months left?

I would like to address this question directly to HP but the only method of communication appears to via the Virtual Agent and that appears to have gone to sleep - the blue buttons don't work.

@geoffLa -- if you "register" (online) your HP computer, the start-date of the warranty should change from the date on which it was first assembled to today's date.

@Itsmyname

I thought that my new PC was registered during the set-up process.

But, in case  it wasn't, I have just visited the the HP Product Registration website.

However, if I enter "PC" into the Product Name or Number text box it displays "Too many results. Please refine search"

If I enter "PC" into the Product Name or Number text box it displays "Too many results. Please refine search"

If I enter M01-F1056na (the model number) into the Product Name or Number text box it displays "No results found"

What am I supposed to enter into this text box?

@geoffLa -- Product Name or Number text box

Is there a "decal" on the outside of the computer's case (or underneath the battery for a laptop) that gives the product-number and/or serial-number information?

Hint: for HP computers, the product-number often ends with "#ABA".

Thank you for your reply.

The label on the back of the PC shows the Serial No. (not the Product No.)

The Product No. appears in the HP Warranty Check.

In the product registration, you need to enter the Product Number WITHOUT #ABU.

I have now received Registration Confirmation but this does not include any information as to the period of warranty.

Last time  I checked, the dates in the HP Warranty Check are still incorrect,

@Promethee.

Once again, you have provided the solution.

Thank you.

I wonder "how slow are HP's back-end servers, such that the information you entered is not getting completely loaded everywhere it needs to be saved?"

Overnight refresh? Weekly refresh?
