Pavilion 500-120eem
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I was planning a GPU upgrade but I'm not sure as to how many watts are supplied to my PCIe-x16 slot on my 2AF7 motherboard. I can't be completely sure about whether a full 75W is supplied to the slot with a supply rated at 300W max. Here's what I'm running now.

Desktop model: HP Pavilion 500-120eem (E8U36EA#BV = PRODUCT NUMBER)

Intel i5-4440

AMD Radeon HD8570(OEM)

Seagate Barracuda 1TB HDD

6GB RAM

Here are the voltages supplied by the rails:

+12Va : 12A

+12Vb : 16A

+3.3V: 12A

-12V: 0.3A

+5.08V: 16A

+5.08Vsb: 2A

5.08v and 3.3v shall not exceed 103W

300W @ 35 degrees Celsius

@nemesis586,

While your information is concise, and the PCIEx16 port has a rated 75W max,  what are your plans? If it is gaming, name 2 titles. Are you willing to spend $400-500 in a CPU, GPU and PSU upgrade? Maybe more.

.@Wb2001,

I'm only spending 200$ on components that would allow me to engage in 1080p gaming. Titles like Overwatch and maybe Doom.

@nemesis586,

You are not going to get 1080p unless your into a card level of the GTX 1660 or better.

And you have the least Intel chip on the scale.     Your in the wrong chip family.

.@Wb2001,

You see, I'm ok with making the budget a bit larger, but the reason why I don't want to opt for a larger power supply is because I have heard that some HP mobos don't allow a GPU with an external 8 pin or 6 pin connector to boot. And I guess the GTX1650 is fine with me since I can compromise on visual quality. It is quite the step up from my 7 year old card anyway. In my books, anything over 30fps is ok!
