HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop 690-00xx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi guys

I bought the HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop 690-0027a just two weeks agao, and it appears the weird noise from the tower:

The noise is not always there, it normally appears after I wake the PC from sleep mode.

Any insight will be appreciated, shoud I call for an exchange?

Cheers!

one of the fans has a fan blade that is scraping  the inside edge of the fan housing, you might have a fan that is slightly out of round

power off remove cover and using a pencil or pen gently push the fan blades of each fan, you hopefully wiill see one fan that does not spin as freely,.... the other method is to take a piece of paper ad see if it can pass between the fan blade and the housing at 4 points (think a compass 4 points)

Thanks for your reply, I checked inside and found that the fan on RX 580 is quitely loose, when I push it gently, it moved---not like the other two fans inside the tower. However, I don't see the fan blade is scraping the fan housing.

What can I do next?

remove the side cover,....for the case fans only, let the system go to sleep then disconnect from the motherboard header (if possible) and power on do you hear the noise?

the power supply can also cause noise from the fan or the coils on it's board

The funny thing is, when I place the whole tower upside down, the noise's gone, due to the fan on radeaon attached tigher to the GPU.... but is this a good way to solve the issue?

do you really think turning the case upside down is the proper solution instead of replacing the fan?
